A. We use Chicago Title for our closing unless our clients wish to go with a different one.

Q. Which home inspector to use?

A. We recommend Googling “home inspectors near me” and choosing one with at least a 4.0 rating and 5 years of experience in the field. But first be sure this is the house you want.

Q. Should I get sewer scope inspection too?

A. On homes over 30 years old, we recommend that you do especially if there are trees on the property.

Q. Fixed rate versus variable rate mortgage?

A. Because we only know the present and not the future, it’s better to go with a fixed rate mortgage. We recommend choosing a 30-year conventional mortgage, and if able, adding $100 to monthly payment rather than choosing a shorter term mortgage.
